Green Party Governor Candidate Malachy McCourt to be at Ellenville Blueberry Festival

Author, actor, radio host, and now Green Party nominee for NY Governor, Malachy McCourt, is scheduled to visit the annual Shawangunk Mtn. Wild Blueberry & Huckleberry Festival in Ellenville, Saturday, August 26th at 12 Noon. McCourt, who has a summer home in nearby Woodstock, will take his campaign for Governor to the street festival to meet as many voters there as possible, as several thousand visitors are expected during the event, with most concentrated around the mid-day hours.

According to Ellenville Village Trustee Steve Krulick, who, himself, is the first Green Party member to be re-elected to municipal office in New York State, McCourt is familiar with the area. Besides his Woodstock home, McCourt was a standing-room-only presenter at the Ellenville Library’s Author program several years back. In the successful run-up to getting 30,000 petition signatures to get on the November ballot, McCourt has already appeared locally at events in Rosendale and New Paltz.
